Hello friends, today we jump right into the bedroom remodel! It is time to bring this guest bedroom from dated to an English country cottage retreat. Join us as we scrape glittery popcorn, install bead board, crown molding, chair rail, a rose medallion, and paint everything!

Here are the before and after shots! I still am amazed at the difference paint can make!

Before we painted the gallery wall I just had to try out the French settee for size… this looks promising!

Before & after pictures of the gallery wall. won’t it be interesting to see the effect this gorgeous mushroom brown color has on the artwork!

Bead board & crown installed, electrical run for the wall sconces, and the odd domed sheetrock mudded, smoothed and sanded. This is the wall we plan to paper. We are complete novices at hanging wallpaper, so I have no idea how this will turn out!

Once the wall was painted, I just had to try out the headboard to see how it would look ~ imagine how lovely it will look layered over the English rose wall paper!

Here is the elegant rose medallion. Between the bead board and medallion the ceiling damage was covered & now it’s ready for a special light fixture!

Thank you for joining me today as we installed bead board, crown molding, chair rail, and the lovely rose medallion! I’m excited to share the next stage of hanging wall paper & installing antique & vintage inspired lighting!

Until next time,

take care,
